1980 Company know as EJA Engineering, which was a small sized distributor of electrical products located at Hindley Green England.
1986 Advances in product development introduced Trojan switch, Atlas interlock switch, Rotacam hinge interlock and LRS1 Rope Switches.
1988 Guardmaster brand is established, EJA becomes the leading supplier of Safety Switches in the England.
1990-96 The Guardmaster brand now recognised as a leader in machine safety products with star products Trojan, Titan, Ferrogard and LRS4.
1996 MBO team acquires the EJA Engineering Group comprising of Guardmaster, Sigma Controls, Nelsa.
1999 Rockwell Automation buys the EJA Group and markets the safety switches as the Allen Bradley Guardmaster brand worldwide.
2003 Guarmaster Safety products go from strength to strength used as the bench mark in machines safety guarding globally.

Guardmaster 440K range – Tongue operated interlock switches
Trojan 5, Cadet, Ensign and Elf
These devices are designed for use on doors, hinged, sliding and lift off guard designed with electrical interlocking on the control circuits of machines and require physical contact from the actuator to allow immediate opening of the guard doors.
Guardmaster 440H range – Hinge operated interlock switches
Sprite, Senator, Imp, Isomag and Rotacam
Designed for hinged guard doors, offering electrical interlocking of machine control circuit to the guard door. Operation of these devices require hinge to be physically connected to unit allows immediate opening of the hinge guard door.
Guardmaster 440N range – Non contact interlock switches
Cerberus, Minotaur MSR5T, Minotaur MSR6R/T, Minotaur MSR7R and Minotaur MSR7C
Designed for sliding and hinged doors, used for electrically interlocking machines control circuit to guard doors. Operation is magnetic requiring no physical contact from actuator allows immediate opening of the guard door. Coded and non coded units are offered in this Guardmaster range of non contact interlock switches. Benefit from increased security, increased hygiene and avoid ingress problems with this range of Guardmaster non contact switches.
Guardmaster 440G range – Guard locking interlock switches
TLS-GD2,Titan, Atlas 4, Centurion, Lifeline 1 , Lifeline 2 and Lifeline 3
Devices designed for use on sliding, hinged and lift off guard doors and use electrical interlocking of machine control circuit from the actuator only allows opening of the guard door after a signal is given to the device. Ideal application guard doors required to be kept locked until potential hazards have stopped and a safe condition exists.
