Festo has expanded their range of VTUG and MPA-L pneumatic valve terminals as well as adding a more cost effective connection module that can be used with field bus or industrial ethernet networks.

Festo VUVG valve terminal for cost effective, general use – Features include:

Standard configuration as multi-pin or fieldbus terminal valve – Easy and quick conversions, Accepts Canopen, Profibus, CC- Link, Ethercat and Device Net and has an option for IO-Link. VTUG valve has diagnostics via fieldbus and LEDs, Configurable to max 24 valve positions in fixed grid, Has option for 2 functions on a single valve position using 2x 3/2-way valves. Designed for use in a control enclosures as well as direct machine mounting.

OEMs and machine builders are now able to connect the terminals straight to protocols for instance, Profius, CANopen, DeviceNet and EthernetIP. The terminals comes complete with a  M18 connector that enables immediate connection to IO-Link or, by fitting a CTEU bus node module, to a lot of field bus and industrial Ethernet protocols. The appearance of the pneumatic circuit remains exactly the same regardless of how the terminal is connected electrically. Festo CTEU module features diagnostic functions to help lessen downtime by, for instance determining overvoltage and short circuits.
