Festo Pneumatics > Brand new electric piston-rod cylinders from Festo Pneumatics.
Festo have just released their exciting new product range of electric piston-rod cylinders, as consumers need an actuator to be as environmentally robust as Festo pneumatic models , with the flexibility and performance of all - electric solutions.
The improved IP variants of the Festo DNCE cylinders give a huge selection of configuration possibilities, therefore allowing the performance and degree of protection to be best matched to the application.
Features consist of improved ingress protection, which includes products with a great IP65 rating for applications which face exposure to harsh media. They are available in 32, 40 and 63mm diameters as well as the standard stroke lengths from 100-800mm in 100mm intervals depending on their size. Every one of the cylinders have a superior performance ball screw drive and therefore are equipped to handle acceleration rates to as much as 6m/per second, as well as having an exceptionally high positional repetition accuracy of 0.02mm. Each and every model has got the choice of a couple of spindle pitches.
There is a threaded breather port in the front face of the Festo cylinders that enables consumers to connect a length of standard pneumatic tubing for the remote supply of air and exhaust venting. This prevents undesirable media becoming pulled into the drive. An optionally available bellow kit further expands the level of protection.
The Festo cylinders are ideal to be used with a variety of Festo stepper and servomotors as well as third- party products, which may be fitted in-line or in parallel using a toothed belt coupler. These are also perfect for applications that experience contact with dust and water, for example in the wood-working, plasterboard and concrete manufacturing industries and therefore are ideal for highly dynamic techniques that need precise control of speed, acceleration and deceleration.
