Festo ESBF New range of Drives > Festo innovative electric drive punches 17KN of force
Festo have just released their new electric drive that is ideal for high-load applications in demanding conditions with hydraulic performance with the benefit of electric cleanliness and performance.
Festo ball screw electric drives the ESBF range can be purchased in 3 bore sizes 100, 80 and 63mm.
The Festo ESBF ranges provide stroke lengths to a maximum of 1.5m at speeds up to 1.3m/s. It offers dynamic feed forces that reach 17kN, for additional dependability the piston rod is protected from rotation.
Festo electric drives can be configured with a running performance greater than 10,000 =km, they come with micro grease reservoirs lubricating it for the life of the cylinder and it needs little maintenance. It's smooth, simple to clean surfaces, which will not accumulate dust. Festo threaded breathing port enables customers to make use of a positive pressure to the electric cylinder during clean-in- place cycles, to give you higher dependability in tough conditions.
Competitor’s drives without any breathing ports could suffer from internal contamination from airborne dust and moisture from the air, due to the vacuum effect from the cylinder rod going in and out. Festo electric cylinder is ideal for positioning and push-pull applications as well as being ideal for splash zones. Sensors could be bonded to the actuator to give position data.
