After the triggering of the\r\nemergency stop function, the switching mechanism locks in the off\r\nposition. Through manual actuation of the blue reset lever locally\r\nat the pull rope switch the switching mechanism is reset to the\r\noperating position and the belt conveyor is prepared for start-up.\r\nThe resetting of the switching mechanism may not start the belt\r\nconveyor.\r\n\r\nWith the SEG type pull rope switch, the pull rope is symmetrically\r\ntensioned on both sides of the red tripping lever and thus\r\na complete compensation of the rope forces at the tripping lever\r\nis achieved. For this reason, double-sided pull rope switches of\r\nthe SEG design are especially suited for outdoor use with large\r\nchanges of the ambient temperature (summer – winter) of up to\r\n60°C and more.\r\n\r\nT E C H N I C A L D A T A\r\n\r\nComplies with EN 620, BGI 710 (UVV-VGB 10)\r\nDIN EN ISO 13850, EN 60947-5-5, EN 60947-5-1\r\nSuited for controls and facilities according to EN 60204\r\nEnclosure Cast iron, EN-GJL-200\r\nFinish 2 component DD-tile enamel\r\nEnclosure yellow, RAL 1004\r\nActuating lever red, RAL 3000,\r\nReset lever blue, RAL 5010\r\nMounting 2 oblong holes for M10 screws\r\nAdmissible ambient temperature –25°C … +70°C\r\nProtection IP 67 according to EN 60529\r\nSwitching system max. 3NC and 3NO cam operated switches, positive making, snap action\r\nRated operating voltage Ue AC 240 V, DC 250 V\r\nConventional thermal current Ith 16 A\r\nBreaking capacity\r\nAC-15\r\nDC-13\r\nUe = 230V, Ie = 6A\r\nUe = 110V, Ie = 1.1A\r\nCable entry Threaded holes, 2 x M25 x 1.5\r\n1 x screwed cable gland M25 x 1.5; sealing area ∅ 11mm to ∅ 16mm\r\n1x dummy plug M25 x 1,5\r\nConnection cross section max. 2.5 mm2\r\nProtective conductor connection Inside enclosure, M4 , max. 2.5mm2\r\nContact life 0.5 x 106 switching cycles at 100 % Ie\r\nMechanical life 104 switching cycles\r\nOptional Ventilation duct to avoid condensation\r\nGold-plated contacts\r\nDome light\r\nPlease note: The switches may be used in control circuits only!\r\n\r\nO P E R A T I O N\r\n\r\nThe emergency stop function is implemented with positive making\r\nnormally closed contacts according to the closed circuit principle.\r\nThe direct operating switching mechanism inside the switch is of\r\nsnap action and is actuated when the pull rope is either pulled\r\nin any direction or if the rope breaks. Starting at the tension springs, the pull rope is led\r\nthrough the eyebolts and hooked at both sides of the red tripping\r\nlever of the switch with turnbuckles. The pull rope is tensioned\r\nwith the turnbuckles in such a way that equal forces act on both\r\nsides of the tripping lever and it is found in the vertical operating\r\nposition. The tension of the rope has to be strong enough to actuate\r\nthe switch if the rope breaks.\r\nThe pull rope switch has to be positioned in the middle between\r\nthe two fixed points. The maximum distance between the fixed\r\npoints should not exceed approximately 100m. The choice of the\r\ndistance between the eyebolts is dependent on the ambient temperature\r\nrange and the length of the pull rope. A value of approximately\r\n2.5 m is recommended. The actuating travel of the tension\r\nsprings must be limited.\r\n\r\nThe function of the emergency stop system shall be checked in\r\nregular intervals of about 2 to 3 month.
