SBW Kiepe Misalignment Switches for VA & Aluminum\r\n\r\n\r\na p p l i c a t i o n\r\n\r\nKiepe Sensors of types SBW 501/2 und SBW 601/2 are used in\r\nbucket elevator installations for monitoring the true tracking of\r\nthe belt. Designed for buckets made of stainless steel and\r\naluminium they are especially suitable for the food industry\r\n(e. g. sugar).\r\nDespite its small size of only 80 mm diameter the sensor provides\r\nan operating distance of up to 70 mm adjustable by means of a\r\nsmall potentiometer.\r\nSubject to change without notice.\r\n\r\ni n s t a l l a t i o n\r\n\r\nOne pair of sensors is located near the headpulley on the forward\r\nside and the other near the tailpully on the return side. They are\r\nfixed on a plastic mounting plate (dimensions: 210 x 210 mm),\r\nwhich covers a hole in the elevator wall of at least 160 mm,\r\ndefining the metal free zone. The mounting plates should be\r\nplaced in such a way that the active area of the sensor is fully\r\ncovered by the bucket‘s side.\r\ns e t t i n g\r\nThe switches are pre-set by the factory at 70 mm. The presence of\r\na bucket is indicated by an integral LED, showing interruption\r\nof the oscillating field.
