Leuze brand new range of ultrasonic sensors that have a long operating range, enclosed in metal housing and are IP67. 

Leuze DMU 418B measuring device and HTU 418B switching devices both possess operating ranges up to a maximum of 1.3 metres, whereas Leuze DMU 430B measuring device possesses an operating range of a maximum of 3m.

Leuze sensors come in both cylindrical M30 and M18 metal enclosures. Leuze sensors can be set up in places that do not have a lot of space by using lock nuts on the external threads.  A couple of pushbuttons are utilized to determine a couple of independent switching points, therefore making the setup much simpler as well as enhancing flexibility. There are versions that come with IO-link interfaces for easy activation and connection of the sensors. Leuze sensors are available with 4 operating modes- i.e., changing from multiplex to synchronous operation. Leuze sensors behaviour is dependent on the reflecting surface. The Leuze sensors come with different lobes: i.e. narrow lobes enable it to detect tiny objects or through tiny apertures quickly
